Education is not merely a means for earning a living but to lay the foundation for a “Wholesome Living.” At Jeevana Vikasa Vidya Vanam, ‘Living’ gets priority over ‘Learning.’

Jeevana Vikasa Vidya Vanam adopted the Community Living Model for Living, wherein all members (Students and Adults) take active part in fulfilling the needs of the community working within the systems developed for a safe and healthy wholesome living environment conducive for learning.

Children pursue their studies while taking care of their personal chores and participate in the farm and community work along with adults.

Community living nurtures the spirit of cooperation. The systems in place for learning and living do not encourage competition.

The living aspects of all children, independent of their family background, have to be more or less identical. Clothes, footwear and all consumables like hair oil, tooth powder are provided by the school.  All students enjoy identical privileges regarding permission days and parent visits.

In the context of healthy living practices, use of inorganic chemical products for our daily needs is avoided to the extent possible. (Toothpaste is replaced by tooth powder, shampoo by soap nut juice, washing powder by soap nut juice and the dish washing liquid by fly ash powder.) Farming practices prohibit the use of chemical pesticides. No cosmetic products are allowed into the campus.

Wholesome living environment has a bearing on the food habits. As a healthy measure, processed grocery items (like polished rice/wheat, sugar, Maida etc.,) are avoided to the extent possible. Preparations are less spicy and use less oil. No one can totally avoid eating any food item in the menu. No food item from outside is allowed into the campus.

Children take an active role in learning, so as to develop the sense of responsibility. They have the freedom to plan for their self-effort schedule.

In ICSE board examination, Telugu is taken as the second language. Students seeking admission are expected to read and comprehend Telugu Newspaper and to write a 10 lines passage in Telugu on a given general topic.

Parents may not force their children to stay on campus against their free will.

Parents and visitors may not smoke or consume alcohol on campus.

Both Parents and the child seeking admission at Jeevana Vikasa Vidya Vanam should come to terms with what has been stated above and only then they may proceed with the admission process.
