Scholarship Program
Vikasa Educational Trust was registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act in 1983 with a sole aim of providing school education rooted in child-centric pedagogy. Children’s innate abilities flourish in an environment where freedom prevails without the burden of punishments and rewards. In its four decades of journey, Vikasa Vidya Vanam has gained the reputation of being a school aiming at the holistic development of children.
We are greatly indebted for the support of like-minded philanthropists for the development of entire infrastructure in both the campuses at Poranki and at Akkineni Sudarsanapuram. However, the recurring expenditure of both schools, since inception, is entirely met from the tuition fees collected from the students. Staff children are given two-thirds fee concession and few parents, based on their financial situation, are being offered one-thirds fee concession. However much we wanted, a scholarship program to fund the entire fee structure for the most marginalized sections could not be funded till now without undue burden on the other parents.
At this juncture, few of our alumni took the initiative and proposed such a scholarship program. The proposal is to support children, upto ten percent of entry level class strength, progressively for their entire schooling starting from 2024-25. Bringing in the children from marginalized communities would make the secular Vikasa Vidya Vanam a more inclusive environment further enriching our school culture.
Members of the Governing Body of Vikasa Educational Trust lauded this proposal. Further, the Governing Body resolved to take this appeal to the well wishers of the school and to the general public as well, to make this scholarship program long standing and sustainable.

We studied in a school not limited to textbooks & subjects, where students are not labeled and separated based on their scores; where there are a lot of other activities and sports; where the word 'leisure' has not lost its meaning; where we could question fearlessly; where we could spend time watching birds and walking among trees; a school where there is no undue stress or unhealthy competition; a school that helped us learn 'how to learn' and more importantly 'how to live'. Vikasa Vidya Vanam is definitely a big part of who we are today.
All children should have access to schools like ours, and we want to bring a few of the most marginalized children from the community into this life experience. This not only will help these children, but will also make our school environment a better representation of the society we are part of. These students will also be valuable contributors to the health and vibrancy of our school environment.
Vikasa Vidya Vanam has been giving a concession of one-third of the annual fee based on the financial status of the family. However, the most marginalized children of our society cannot afford to pay any fees. Few of the alumni are starting a scholarship program to bring such children into our schools. Please join us to help sustain this program forever.
